We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sonia Katyal to Country Manager India.
Sonia joins Trade Horizons following her previous role at the CBI where she held the position of Head of India Office.
With over 12 years of global experience in management consulting working for PwC and TCS, as well as in investment banking and business policy advocacy, Sonia has exactly the right level and diversity of experience to be able to assist a broad range of Trade Horizons’ Clients with business development and strategic growth initiatives, especially between India and the UK.
“Sonia brings a wealth of experience and invaluable trade and business connections to the Trade Horizons Team. This will enable us to better assist our Indian Clients with their international expansion ambitions to the UK and Europe by having an expert on the ground with vital links to the DIT and other key business organisations” said Nick Jordan, CEO. “Moreover, Sonia’s appointment marks an important step for our own expansion as we grow our own capabilities and partnerships in India, important for assisting UK companies expanding into India to capitalise on the tremendous opportunities this market offers.”
Nick and Sonia will be attending the India-UK TECH Summit (7th – 9th November) in New Delhi, the flagship event in the India-UK calendar and one of the largest technology conference and exhibitions in the world.
The UK is this year’s partner country for the event and will bring together the leaders in government, industry and research from both countries to broker new partnerships. Nick and Sonia will be available for meetings during this time to discuss expansion and partnership opportunities between India and the UK.
Prior to the TECH Summit in New Delhi, Nick will be visiting Chandigarh, and afterwards, Bhopal, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad (in India from 3rd – 22nd November) to meet with Trade Horizons’ Clients and other companies to discuss business development opportunities in the UK.
