Business Opportunities with Leading German Maritime Companies

Business Opportunities with Leading German Maritime Companies Host B2B Meetings in the UK – Glasgow & Newcastle | 30 June – 4 July 2025

From the 30th of June to 4th of July 2025, Trade Horizons Limited, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK), will be hosting a high-level trade mission from Germany to the United Kingdom, focusing on the maritime economy and commercial shipbuilding.

This initiative will bring a carefully selected group of small and medium-sized German maritime companies to the UK. These companies are actively seeking business partnerships, knowledge exchange, and new market opportunities in the UK maritime sector. Areas of focus include advanced manufacturing technologies, digital shipbuilding, environmentally sustainable processes, and special vessels for offshore wind farm support. The mission is also focused on the growing UK hydrogen economy.

UK-based companies operating in maritime engineering, shipbuilding, port logistics, offshore renewables, and marine equipment are warmly invited to meet and engage directly with the German delegation in Glasgow and Newcastle. This is an exceptional opportunity to form international partnerships, discuss commercial opportunities, and explore joint ventures or technology collaborations.

Opportunities for UK Companies:
  • One-to-one B2B matchmaking meetings with German maritime SMEs
  • Expand your supplier and innovation networks
  • Discuss collaboration in green technologies and shipbuilding innovation
  • Explore joint ventures and export opportunities into the German and wider EU markets

The mission is supported on the German side by the German Maritime Export Initiative (GEMAX), the Association for Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (VSM), the VDMA Working Group for Marine Equipment and Systems, and the Logistics Initiative Hamburg.
