Energy Infrastructure and Integrating Distributed Energy Generation
Colorado and Michigan
On November 10th – 14th, 2025 Trade Horizons is hosting a delegation of established German companies in the energy infrastructure and generation space to Michigan and Colorado. The companies are visiting the regions to learn about these US sectors, share their technology and develop strategic relationships with relevant US companies.

The Opportunity
-We will be scheduling carefully selected, one-on-one BtoB meetings between relevant US companies and the German company delegates.
-Targeted networking events that include high level government officials and industry leaders.
-US site visits – we will bring the delegation to carefully vetted US companies in the region to meet, greet and explore business collaboration opportunities.
About the German companies
The delegation will include decision makers from German companies in the fields of renewable energies (solar, wind, bioenergy), energy infrastructure, energy efficiency, energy storage, smart grids, electromobility, engineering and consulting services. Companies that can offer innovative technologies and solutions for modernizing the US energy supply.
Germany has been aggressively working on energy infrastructure and renewable initiatives for a very long time. This is an opportunity to share ideas, concepts, goals, challenges, and innovative technologies for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Why the delegation is interested in Michigan and Colorado
Michigan is pursuing a multifaceted approach to promoting distributed energy generation, renewable energy, and smart grid technologies. The state is leveraging innovative solutions such as microgrids, battery storage, smart grids, and electromobility to address the challenges of industrial reshoring and increasing energy demand.
Colorado is considered a pioneer in the integration of renewable energies, energy efficiency, and the modernization of grid infrastructure. The state specifically promotes the introduction of new technologies and relies on international partnerships to close technological gaps. Solutions in the areas of solar and wind energy, energy storage, digital grid control, and energy efficiency.
