Unlock German Maritime Partnerships: B2B Meetings in Glasgow & Newcastle

From the 30th of June to 4th of July 2025, Trade Horizons Limited, on the behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK), will be hosting a high-level trade mission from Germany to the United Kingdom, focusing on the maritime sector. 

This trade mission offers a valuable opportunity for UK companies to learn more about the German ecosystem and expand cross border connectivity and collaborations by engaging in meaningful discussions around innovation in shipbuilding and green technologies applications. 

We warmly invite UK companies operating in the maritime sector to meet and engage with the German delegation in Glasgow and Newcastle. Food and drinks will be provided, courtesy of our host, and event participation is free. We look forward to welcoming you.

The German Delegation: 

This trade mission brings 12 German companies to the UK, offering expertise and seeking partnerships in the maritime sector. Their focus areas include: maritime technology and automation, advanced manufacturing, digital shipbuilding, propulsion systems, safety solutions, fleet management, offshore energy storage, and the UK hydrogen economy. 

The German delegation represents a diverse range of expertise in the maritime sector:  

Hoppe Marine GmbH is a leader in fluid control and vessel performance systems, offering solutions such as valve remote control, tank content measurement, roll stabilisation, and dynamic floating monitoring.  They support shipowners and operators in enhancing operational efficiency and environmental compliance through automation technologies.  

ProfiSeal GmbH has specialised in designing and manufacturing high-reliability propeller shaft (sterntube) seals and bulkhead seals for the shipbuilding industry. They serve a wide range of vessels, including workboats, offshore supply vessels, passenger ships, and yachts.  

SCHOTTEL GmbH is a manufacturer of propulsion and steering systems for ships and offshore applications. Renowned for inventing the rudderpropeller, they offer a comprehensive range of products, including azimuth propulsion systems, manoeuvring systems, and complete propulsion packages with power ratings up to 30 MW.  

Leak Stop Gun GmbH offers a specialised solution for sealing leaks in pressurised systems without the need for shutdowns. Their technology enables maintenance teams to address leaks efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and enhanced safety. 

Fraunhofer IGP specialises in applied research for the production and manufacturing of large structures. Their expertise spans shipbuilding, steel construction, energy and environmental technology, rail and commercial vehicle manufacturing, as well as mechanical and plant engineering.  

TESVOLT OCEAN GmbH  is a joint venture between TESVOLT Maritime Solutions and Ocean Batteries, provides comprehensive energy storage solutions tailored to the maritime industry. Their battery systems are designed for various vessels, including inland ships, container ships, and yachts, enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.  

Alternative Energy Solutions (AES by DTS) offers engineering and consulting services focused on alternative and sustainable energy generation. Their solutions aim to reduce fuel consumption and emissions in combustion engines, utilising technologies such as fuel cells, hybrids, and synthetic fuels. Applications span power plants, ships, and trains worldwide.  

Joined Data Systems (JDS) GmbH specialises in data-driven innovations for logistics and monitoring across maritime, offshore infrastructure, ports, and freight sectors. They develop solutions in digital cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and predictive modelling to enhance transportation systems. Their expertise includes routing optimisation, arrival time prediction, and dark vessel detection.  

xpress seals GmbH specialises in the rapid production and delivery of high-quality seals, including hydraulic and large-scale seals up to 1,500 mm in diameter. Serving industries such as shipbuilding, steel, chemical, and energy, they offer custom solutions.Their services include personalised consultation and 3D-UV laser marking for product identification. 

J.M Voith SE & Co. KG offers advanced propulsion and energy systems for maritime applications. Their product portfolio includes the Voith Schneider Propeller and Voith Inline Thruster, designed to enhance vessel manoeuvrability and efficiency. They support the maritime industry’s transition towards greener technologies. 

Weselmann GmbH & Co. KG  offers a comprehensive range of services, including ship valuations, marine surveys, towage approvals, factory acceptance tests, risk assessments, and sustainability evaluations. With a presence in Hamburg, Copenhagen, and Hong Kong, Weselmann serves a global clientele. 

RUD System GmbH develops and services conveyor and drive technologies, with strong expertise in maritime and offshore applications. Their TECDOS systems and ROV Hooks are designed for use in shipyards, ports, and subsea operations, offering reliable performance under harsh marine conditions.
