Trade Mission UK Artificial Intelligence to Bremen, Germany

Registrations open: A great way to discover opportunities available to UK companies looking for expansion or cooperation in one of the German and world leading AI markets.

From June 10th – 13th 2024, Trade Horizons Limited, on behalf of Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) and Bremeninvest – the international brand of Bremen’s Economic Development (WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH), is organising a Trade Mission to the German Federal State of Bremen. The UK delegation will benefit from the Bremen AI Days and take part of the programme focusing on high-tech companies and B2B networking.

About Bremen:

The Federal State of Bremen is an international metropolitan city located on the Weser river in north-western Germany. With a population of 570.000 Bremen is under the top ranking industrial cities in Germany. Here you avail of the worlds leading enterprises with an excellent ecosystem for young innovative tech companies. Exposed international players such as OHB Satellite developer, Airbus, ArianeGroup, Mercedes-Benz, etc. are actively involved in the network. This ecosystem is characterized by short distances, creative exchange and excellent subject-specific diversity, excellent routing, and inter-disciplinary cooperation.

Numerous outstanding research institutes (e.g. DFKI, AWI, ZARM, DLR, etc.), universities with excellence status and private universities such as Constructor University are integrated and make it possible to quickly realize agile smart collaborations at the top level. The new Digital Industry Hub is a new center where digital technologies are bundled and advanced in this interaction together with interest groups and industry and research and startups. This is just one example that illustrates how science, industry partners, startups and young professionals from various disciplines live a culture of innovation in Bremen in close exchange with each other.

Bremen AI Days:

The Bremen AI Days is a great opportunity for the participants to meet all the relevant stakeholders and representatives of the local business ecosystem at once and offers a variety of demonstrators, workshops and networking opportunities. These will include a variety of different company workshops on AI topics. With 900 registrations in 2023, the event was fully booked.
Participating companies and institutes at the Bremen AI Days will likely include: Digital Hub Industry, TOPAS AG, ant, dock one, encoway, TZI, TeamViewer, IDABOT, aisencia, MDZ Bremen/Oldenburg, BIBA, OHB digital services, bremen digitalmedia, BIBA, DFKI, justadd.ai, botario GmbH, lector.ai GmbH, XTL GmbH and radiusmedia (subject to final participation).
The Transfer Center for Artificial Intelligence BREMEN.AI, based in the Digital Hub Industry, is a central component of the AI strategy for the state of Bremen adopted at the end of 2020 and is funded by the Bremen Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation. It supports companies in the introduction of AI technologies and is committed to the convergence of Bremen’s AI scene.

Delegation members will have the chance to join the Bremen AI Days, meet with experts with the chance of company presentation to high-level audience from industry, politics, science, young talents followed by a get-together. You will also have the chance to exhibit to showcase your company profile by a roll-up.

Who should join:

Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI) has commissioned Trade Horizons to identify and recruit a delegation of UK-based companies and organisations active in the AI sector that are interested in investing and are looking to engage in international collaboration, either to develop new products or services, or to initiate transnational research projects, to participate in a trade mission to Germany. The number of participants is capped and the selected applicants will be able to experience first-hand the opportunities presented by the Bremen market players.

The opportunity on offer:

The itinerary organisation, hotel accommodation and internal travel during the trip, will be borne by GTAI. Flights and airport transfers as well as Lunches and Dinners are to be paid individually by the participants.
