The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is offering export training to up to 20 eligible California Cleantech businesses focused on the Nordic markets with renowned international market entry advisor Trade Horizons. Learn what it takes to export your Cleantech product or service to the Nordics!
Why Attend?
Driven by strong climate goals and a focus on decarbonisation, the Nordics already surpassed the EU’s 2030 renewable energy target of 42.5% in 2023. This progress has fueled a vibrant ecosystem, with approximately 140 new cleantech startups founded each year, supporting innovation and growth in the region.
U.S. firms excelling in cleantech are particularly well-positioned to capitalize on the significant demand for green transmission and clean energy solutions in the Nordics. This program offers a unique opportunity to expand your global footprint, strengthen strategic alliances, and contribute to the rapidly growing Nordic cleantech ecosystem.
Program Structure and Cost
The program consists of 3 main modules with 8 sessions in total. Please download the program for details here.
The cost is $6,500 value per participant – only $500 paid for by the participant rest covered by the State of California.
Eligibility for the Program
Companies must meet the following eligibility requirements:
-Legally incorporated in California in the cleantech sector in the United States.
– Meet the Small Business Administration’s small business size standards (less than 500 employees)
-Been in operation for at least one year
-Export goods with at least 51% US content
-Have products readily available for sale and export
How to Apply
- Register at business.ca.gov.
- Select “STEP Export Training Application”
- Choose Nordics Virtual Export Training
- Submit the completed form
